Over the past twenty years, we have delivered around 150,000 tested system assemblies to our customers. As a classified A1 supplier, we guarantee on-time or sequential delivery of our products, depending on the specific requirements of our customers.
The complaint rate is no more than 0.04 %. Quality management is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, audited by TÜV Thüringen.
Location and security
In the Neuensalz industrial estate near Plauen, we manufacture on a secured site. The functional areas can be separated from one another, allowing us to handle prototypes and safety-critical parts confidentially.

100% inspected assemblies
Only inspected assemblies are installed, some of them tested on our own test rigs. A QM officer provides additional assurance.
Traceable test data
Measurement results and inspection data are documented and remain traceable.

Does HEROLD build complete machines?
No. We manufacture system components, assemblies and single parts to your drawing, on request designed, assembled and tested.
What workpiece sizes and tolerances are possible?
Milling is possible up to 1,850 × 1,450 × 1,525 mm, with manufacturing tolerances of IT 6 / IT 5. All machines, including travel ranges and control systems, are listed in the machine list.
What quantities do you manufacture?
From prototypes and single parts to series production. Assembly is carried out at individual workstations or on flow assembly lines, depending on quantity.
What documents do you need for a quote?
A drawing or a 3D model as PDF, STEP, IGES, Parasolid (X_T), DXF or DWG, plus quantity and desired delivery date. Material and tolerances help us to provide a faster assessment.

How is quality assurance carried out?
Various measures for quality inspection and quality assurance are taken in our company. Our main inspection methods at a glance:
- Installation of 100% inspected assemblies
- Single part inspection integrated into the manufacturing process
- additional quality assurance by the QM officer
- Quality assurance partly carried out on test benches
Will I receive measurement reports and an initial sample inspection report?
Yes, on request. Measurements are taken on our ZEISS Prismo 7 coordinate measuring machine, and for assemblies we produce an initial sample inspection report if required.
Does HEROLD also manufacture confidential or security-critical parts?
Yes. Our functional areas can be separated from one another and each has its own access control, and the site is monitored by CCTV. This allows us to manufacture prototypes and parts that require confidentiality.
